Tonight, CBS aired a 60 Minutes interview with President Obama. But curiously enough, the news magazine show did not air a clip of Obama admitting to interviewer Steve Kroft that some of his campaign ads contain mistakes and that some even "go overboard."

Have you ever wondered why all the liberals (or almost all) buy foreign cars which also has caused many American jobs to go overseas to foreign car makers? The quote above was about Romney's internal campaign problems. Now if you think about the Democrat convention who was the most memorable speaker(s):

a)Barack Obama
b)Michelle Obama
c)Bill Clinton

Clinton for sure and maybe Michelle.  Does giving a memorable convention speech really matter unless you are trying to get your wife elected in 2016?  

The real memorable speeches will come when Israel hits Iran and Iran sinks a supertanker in the Golf of Hormuz and oil prices go up to the clouds. Then will it all be about the economy or foreign policy?

What the politicians did for health care (everybody has a right to health insurance) they can now do when R & R go down in flames in November.

Everybody has a right to a bank account and those with bank accounts already should not mind paying a little more on their interest rates and bank fees to help those less fortunate.

Auntie Jean's Zuchini Surprise 

• enough hamburger to kill the taste of the zuchini
• zuchini (peeled and sliced)
• some onion
• salt
• pepper
• Herbs De Province (or however they spell it)
• garlic cloves squished up
• diced tomatoes (festival style with a bunch of Mexican stuff in it)
• diced peppers

To fix:

1. fry hamburger
2. dump other stuff in
3. season to Aunt Jean's taste
4. slowly boil until done
5. put grated cheese on top and melt
6. serve with brown rice

Rating:  ***** (five stars - Mrs. TWW says much tastier than when TWW tries to make this dish)

TWW's Hobo Dinners for the 1%

• cut up red potatoes
• carrots
• wine
• olive oil
• chopped steak (not hamburger since this is for the 1% trying to know what the middle class eats like and the 1% cannot eat hamburger)

To fix:

1. cut square of aluminum foil (not the cheap kind)
2. put carrots and potatoes on bottom on foil 
3. put expensive cut up steak on top
4. put olive on the mix
5. roll up sides of foil
6. cover with expensive red wine
7. put on the coals of a fire made from pricey firewood
8. cook until done
9. unwrap foil and consume

Rating:  ** (two stars - one star each for the potatoes and carrots.  Mrs. TWW says hamburger was better. Auntie Jean said she missed Denver)

Clint got it wrong. It was the reporters who looked the other way about how an affirmative action pick would have some weaknesses when put into a job he was not qualified for because of belonging to a protected class. Try comparing the treatment BO got to Clarence Thomas and Sarah Palin who were chosen because of being in a protected class for hiring.  The media vetted them well.

That was from the speech last night.  Since when weren't the evil corporations the source of most of our ills?? Well since he did not mention the 1% maybe we can still blame then. It rained last night: question of the day

It rained last night at Garbin Moraine and helped end the drought up here.  By chance did President BO promise to end the drought in his speech last night?  TWW out of fairness did not watch since he only  watched the empty chair speech at the the (if Clint can stutter so can TWW) other side's convention not and  the 'Mir' and 'Purr' show.

MAMA's empty chair

One of the guests at GM this weekend took the empty chair thing too far by modifying a GM chair so it will always be empty.  All guest to GM should be aware that GM only has $1000 medical coverage for guests and a $1,000 deductible and if you sue you are automatically out of the will so be careful how you sit.
