"In Florida this afternoon, Vice President Joe Biden reminded supporters that thanks to President Obama, they could now get colonoscopies without a co-pay". Will they just stop with colonoscopies or do the same to those of us who pay taxes?
A veteran (thank him for his service) owned and operated company existing only in TWW's imagination and in this website
HOW TO ORDER A BOWL
The Warped Woodturner (TWW) is a local artist traveling his artist's journey in a suburb of Springbrook, WI (pop. 536). TWW's creative calling is to use a wood lathe to make useless objects from locally-sequestered organic carbon for tourists to bring back to the city to give to people they had to buy something for but do not like that much. His target market is the senior citizens since their vision is not as good as it used to be so cannot see the defects as well. His marketing jingle is: “Bowls as simple as their creator”.

Watch your back side?
IS this what BO & JB have in mind for all of us in their second term?

Is honesty still the best policy?
When TWW was up in Duluth he parked in a city lot with some sort of machine to collect the money. The problem was he forgot to pay. He did not find a ticket on his car when he got back to it after realizing he had not paid. He decided to be honest so walked over to the machine and tried to stick in his dollars. The machine refused to take his money.
After returning home he got a delivery from Amazon Dot Com. The order contained some game he had not ordered and it was not on the invoice so in effect it was free. After finally getting to the wrong place on the Amazon web site TWW was able to send an e-mail to Amazon asking how to return the product he did not order and they did not know he had. The good people at Amazon replied with something about 'understanding your concern' and telling TWW how to print a return label. All TWW had to do was drive 20 miles to find a UPS box. (not even a 'thanks' for sending the not ordered stuff back so they didn't lose money on it). The result of this experience was enlightenment. When the save the world crowd talks about renewing, reusing or recycling TWW now understands why 'return' is not part of the slogan.

Why we need/don't need voter ID laws and the electoral college
"History shows that candidates have won the presidency but not the popular vote four times, and in each case it was the Democrat who got the most votes but lost the presidency: 1824, 1876, 1888 and 2000."

The noses have it -- crackpot letter to the editor
Editor:
The 2012 presidential election will be one where noses become even more important than in past elections. Of course we will need to again hold our noses when voting. But there is more. One candidate is a Mr. Blah who was born rich and got caught verbally looking down his nose while making disparaging comments about the people in the lower 47%. The other candidate has a rising nose problem that non-verbally communicates his true attitudes. At times he looks like a Roman emperor looking down on the unwashed masses when he speaks unless of course you can blame his teleprompter for telling him to raise his nose up since it attracts liberal voters who also like to look down on the uneducated masses. If you don't believe this watch closely the nose the next time the President speaks. And when the election finally arrives one of them may win by just a nose.

Pollvine scatology?
Polling seems to be right up there with using tree rings to say what the climate was in the past. They both seem to be pseudoscience.

Romney Pulls Ahead
By Dick Morris on September 25, 2012
The published polling in this year’s presidential race is unusually inaccurate because this is the first election in which who votes determines how they vote. .... Tell me your demographic and I’ll tell you who you’re voting for and I’ll be right at least two times out of three!.....Most pollsters are weighting their data on the assumption that the 2012 electorate will turn out in the same proportion as the 2008 voters did. But polling indicates a distinct lack of enthusiasm for the president among his core constituency. ...Specifically, most pollsters are using 2008 party preferences to weight their 2012 survey samples, reflecting a much larger Democratic preference than is now really the case.

Why didn't the major media tell us this in 2008??
When TWW was in school they made him find jobs for when he grew up in the Occupational Outlook Handbook put out by the federal government. In the post-modern age this handbook is online. As part of figuring out who to vote for it helps to learn about what the candidates did before they got elected to something. When TWW tried to find out more about what a community organizer does he found according to the federal government there is no such thing (see below). You would think if a community organizer got elected president his own Labor Department would correct this.

Once again did they ask what people thought of polls
"We took a special look at middle-class voters, and middle-class families in particular, in this latest POLITICO-George Washington University Battleground Poll and found that not to be the case. In fact, on every measure it is Romney who is winning the battle for the support of middle-class families. "

More affirmative action reporting?
Tonight, CBS aired a 60 Minutes interview with President Obama. But curiously enough, the news magazine show did not air a clip of Obama admitting to interviewer Steve Kroft that some of his campaign ads contain mistakes and that some even "go overboard."

A bane for people with liberal values?
Since it is an election campaign we hear over and over about all the jobs Romney and the evil corporations have outsourced overseas. Have you ever wondered why all the liberals (or almost all) buy foreign cars which also has caused many American jobs to go overseas to foreign car makers? That number must swamp what Romney ever did.
Full disclosure: TWW bought American.

Editorial statement: have you ever seen a poll where people got to say what they thought of polls?
The bond bomb
"Jin Baisong from the Chinese Academy of International Trade – a branch of the commerce ministry – said China should use its power as Japan’s biggest creditor with $230bn (£141bn) of bonds to “impose sanctions on Japan in the most effective manner” and bring Tokyo’s festering fiscal crisis to a head."

Just wait until they aim at the US. Then we can really thank the people who ran up the national debt in the last few years -- no wait we can just tax the rich people more and all will be well.

More bovine scatology from the media?
"Many in the Romney high command watched in fury. Later, a poll by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press found that for many voters — especially independents and casual viewers, exactly the ones convention organizers hoped to reach — the Eastwood skit, not Romney’s speech, was the highlight of the convention."

The quote above was about Romney's internal campaign problems. Now if you think about the Democrat convention who was the most memorable speaker(s):
a)Barack Obama
b)Michelle Obama
c)Bill Clinton
Clinton for sure and maybe Michelle. Does giving a memorable convention speech really matter unless you are trying to get your wife elected in 2016?
The real memorable speeches will come when Israel hits Iran and Iran sinks a supertanker in the Golf of Hormuz and oil prices go up to the clouds. Then will it all be about the economy or foreign policy?

Agenda for a second term
What the politicians did for health care (everybody has a right to health insurance) they can now do when R & R go down in flames in November.
"The study also found that one in four households, or 28.3 percent, either had one or no bank account. A third of these households said they do not have enough money to open and fund an account. Minorities, the unemployed, young people and lower-income households are least likely to have accounts."
Everybody has a right to a bank account and those with bank accounts already should not mind paying a little more on their interest rates and bank fees to help those less fortunate.
