Nothing happening

There will be no noticeable events in our boring lives in the woods until the antibiotics knock down the evil Lymes bacteria in my blood and I can get back on my feet. 'sorry to disappoint all of the freudenschade followers of this site. And as always I'd rather be woodturning.

West end painted. I'd still rather be woodturning.  

At this rate I will never be able to play with my lathe for a long time.  

If we lived here we would not need to be painting the house.  

Tree swallows looking for a home 

With the West side 2/3 powerwashed all I can say is I'd rather be turning wood.  

Elmer T. Gopherson VII whines because he has to live in a hole. He is threatening to move to Minnesota where Gophers get all the chicks if they can stay out of trouble.

Natural birch vase. This is another reason I do not buy on E-bay. The real thing is much less nice than the picture even with the shadow.  

It's that time of the year.

Viewing bench where we sit and watch the trees grow when we get tired of watching the wood dry. The new trees are close to the viewing bench modeled after an Aldo Leopold bench so it mst be environmentally sensitive.

20 trees transplanted for better viewing. We could not watch them grow down in the valley in a transplant bed.  

Shirley's Way where it (the road) still exists on our land. The rest was on the neghbor's property so it is his road.  

Failed permaculture experiment. The comfrey did not make it and the grass grew so much we covered it with cardboard.

Firewood for 2006-2007 is almost cut and drying. For entertainment we sit on the porch at night and watch the firewood dry.
