When President Obama tried to reach a “grand bargain” with Republicans on the deficit in 2011, he floated the idea of changing the cost-of-living adjustment for Social Security benefits from the traditional consumer price index (CPI-W) to something called a “chained CPI.”

 Essentially, that means an assumption is made that when prices rise, people will turn to a less expensive product, such as buying chicken instead of beef.  Thus, the chained index tries to take into account how people react to inflated prices."

So the question of the day is assuming the quote above is correct, how much did the Republicans demean and how much did the Democrats convince people they were being demeaned when the Republicans talked about entitlements? 

The above quote must also mean the newest minority group,  the 1%ers,  must have voted in mass this year but unlike other minorities there aren't enough of them to matter. All of the anti-rich people ads run against Romney surely motivated them. 

Full disclosure: In December TWW gets his Medicare card to which he is fully entitled since he paid in a miniscule amount into the program compared to how much he plans on getting back.  And again he says "thank you" to the younger generation for supporting him in old age.

The fairness campaign spreads to NYC

It appears as if Hurricane Sandy has helped spread the fairness campaign to NYC. One of the campaigners is quoted as saying " "Look, they've been looting our wallets for too long," said a young male who claimed he helped himself to a TV at the Rent-A-Center....“It's about time we start taking this sh—back," the youth, who identified himself as Jesse James, told the Daily News.

Striped black cat part 2

A few days ago loyal viewers (all three of them) saw the photo of the newest addition to the family lounging in its kennel.  Mrs TWW decided she did not want to allow TWW to keep his new pet so TWW had to let it go.  The problem was TWW had to go to a sales pitch for when he gets old next March and could not afford to stink if he moved the kennel and got sprayed.  

TWW called the WI DNR and they gave him the name of a professional trapper who agreed to come over and take care of the problem.  After the guy showed up he and TWW talked about what to do about the black and white cat in the kennel.  The trapper did not want the pelt since the price was not high enough to make it worthwhile to skin and tan it.  TWW wondered if they should shoot the cat since they have rabies but the trapper said the population of these cats has dropped quite a bit so rabies was not a problem. 

TWW decided since the cat was a fellow sentient creature the trapper should just release it since getting the angles right to hit the heart and lungs was extremely difficult from the outside of the kennel so the trapper covered the kennel, carried it about 200 feet away and propped the door open and walked away.  When the trapper had walked back up the hill TWW went over to talk with him and saw the striped cat come running up the hill after the trapper.  The trapper got in back of a mulch pile and the cat then started chasing TWW who ran up the ramp to the house and finally into the house as the cat kept coming after him.  At the last moment the cat ran under the ramp.  That was where it was planning togo all along. The moral of the story is screw the sentient being stuff and just dispatch the little bastards.  Now TWW has a skunk living under this sidewalk for the winter unless he can figure out a way get it to move on without creating a stink.

Dane Co. Sheriff Says He Won’t Stop Felon Voters

In a battleground state where voter fraud has been an issue in previous presidential elections, one leading county sheriff is saying his office won’t stop ineligible felon voters from casting a ballot. An internal memo from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office instructed deputies and other staff assigned to the county jail to facilitate the absentee ballot requests of inmates. Sent from Lt. Mark Twombly, the memo specifically instructed law enforcement officials to not check on the felony status of inmates and to help everyone vote regardless of their criminal record.
