Rutgers University is set to launch a pilot program this fall that would allow students living in campus dorm rooms to pick roommates of the opposite sex.
The move intends to welcome more gay students to the campus. "
TWW's puzzlement
What does letting young men and women live in the same dorm room have to do with hostility towards gay men and lesbians? If a guy and gal are staying in the same room you you could either assume they were were straight or a lesbian and a gay guy putting on a front to please their parents. What are people to assume about all of the other students who have same sex roommates? Do they need to show people they are straight? The logic of academics continues to amaze.
