The Warped Woodturner (TWW) is a local artist traveling his artist's journey in a suburb of Springbrook, WI (pop. 536). TWW's creative calling is to use a wood lathe to make useless objects from locally-sequestered organic carbon for tourists to bring back to the city to give to people they had to buy something for but do not like that much. His target market is the senior citizens since their vision is not as good as it used to be so cannot see the defects as well. His marketing jingle is: “Bowls as simple as their creator”.

Ringless in Rochester

On the way home from the holidays in Rochester Mrs. TWW said something about her fingers had swelled up so she could not take her wedding ring off.  TWW thought this meant she was trying to figure out a way to dump him and immediately checked to see if he had his ring on. He only wears it in public to prevent women from hitting on him (in his mind at least). His ring was missing. He thought it must be at the hotel so stopped in Turtle Lake to call the hotel. They weren't cleaning the rooms due to the holiday so he had to wait until Monday.  The hotel people checked and could not find the ring but it could have been in the wash and they were going to check there later.  Interestingly enough the ring was in the wash but not in Rochester. The home health person who helps with the wash found the ring inside a napkin in the pocket of the pants TWW wore for Christmas Eve. How it got there is a mystery but at least it gave TWW something to put on this blog to keep it going.
