The Warped Woodturner (TWW) is a local artist traveling his artist's journey in a suburb of Springbrook, WI (pop. 536). TWW's creative calling is to use a wood lathe to make useless objects from locally-sequestered organic carbon for tourists to bring back to the city to give to people they had to buy something for but do not like that much. His target market is the senior citizens since their vision is not as good as it used to be so cannot see the defects as well. His marketing jingle is: “Bowls as simple as their creator”.

Patience pays off -- the media is starting to get it -- a TWW no-think piece

Part one: "Non-Political Killers
The insights of this study are interesting to review in light of the Arizona shooting, though obviously we still don't know that much about Loughner himself. Perhaps the most interesting finding is that according to Fein and Vossekuil, assassinations of political figures were almost never for political reasons."
This is from an NPR story about assassinations or attempts done by the Secret Service.  The now famous sheriff in AZ must not have seen the study.
The study says "And one thing Borum and Fein say about choosing a political figure — as opposed to choosing a show business celebrity — is that you are able to associate yourself with a broader political movement or goal. That allows the would-be assassin to see himself as not such a bad person. In this way, Borum says, assassins are basically murderers in search of a cause."
So the assassins get famous but do not see themselves as bad people and Sheriffs who jump to conclusions and smear their political enemies get to become famous (slanderers in search of a cause?) but not see themselves as bad persons??
Or could these assassins listen to talk radio as they search of a cause or was it the music they hear or the Arizona Zeitgeist movement or video games?  The jury is still out on AZ except for the people who want to use it to smear their political enemies.

Part 2: After thoughts

Part one stirred something in TWW's brain and out came the terms: projection of personal poop and delusions of danger as a way to describe the reaction of political liberals to the recent tragedy in AZ. These concepts can also describe the conservatives but that will be for a later no-think piece.

The psycho-babblers describe projection as when people see aspects in themselves (deep inside like poop) in other people rather than acknowledge it in themselves.  TWW thinks many people with hardcore liberal beliefs must have lots of anger and hostility deep inside themselves so love to project that onto the Tea Party people or conservatives and find them violent even if most of the Tea people aren't.

And then there are delusions of danger. A delusion is where you see something in the real world and then interpret to have a meaning that is deluded.

Combine these two in people and then when a violent tragedy comes along the hardcore liberals are not able to see reality and run amok blaming things like talk radio and the politcal climate.  They need to see their world filled violent people who happen to have different values out there to meet their own needs.

Your assignment is to study how these concepts apply to the hardcore conservatives.  If this assignment upsets you then the concepts must be true about liberals and you are one of them (which you are free to be.)
